Official Google Blog: Introducing the Google Chrome OS

Google is now talking about creating their very own operating system. From what I've read, the Chrome operating system would basically be just enough to get you online. There would be no other programs on your computer, just the chrome browser. All of your business or personal processes would be completed online. You'd use google docs for writing letters and creating spreadsheets and presentations. You'd be able to check your email and play online games and all of your social networking, but NOTHING would be stored on your computer. If nothing is stored on your computer, the hard drive can't get bogged down by having too many files on it. There would never be any updates to install because Chrome would update itself every time that you logged on to your account.

What do you think?

Is this something that you think would benefit you personally?
